How to figure out if an agent is “on the straight” or “shady”? This is also true for agents: writers.stackexchange.com/questions/187/… - Thinking about that, I'm not sure if we should close this as duplicate. |

How do I write a synopsis? @Daniel: A dwarf-like man and his fellows must bash their way through to the only place where a magical ring can be destroyed. Otherwise the original ring owner will devastate the world using this ring. - Oops, only two sentences, sorry :) |

How not to overuse ellipsis? If ellipsis are used in English the same way they are in German, you have to put a space between the last word and the ellipsis when omitting words: "I always ...". There is no space, when you omit characters: "I alw...". Maybe a native speaker can clarify that. |

How do you deal with procrastination when writing? @Daniel: Writing discipline is the thing which works against procrastination. I think you misinterpret the question. |

Any Technique to See if Your Idea is Original? Most stories are written again and again and again anyway. Countless swords got stuck in a stone. Just write. |

What makes a great writer's space? Hmm, I only have a bottle of water on my desk. Maybe I should start drinking tea while writing. Thanks for the hint. |

Is touch typing skill important for being a good writer? Touch typing is so easy to learn (within two hours), you shouldn't even think about it, if or if not. Just do it. After you've learned it, you will be slower in the beginning, but because you're a writer and have a lot of practice, this will change soon. |

What to do about readers reading into things? Why do so many people believe, that a man who knows WWII mostly from radio/newspaper and on the other side fought as soldier in WWI would use WWII as the source of his bestseller? |
