I was born in Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK in 1967, So I'll never see England win the World Cup. According to my Mother, my first word was 'Satellite'. It was downhill from there.

The inspiration for my novel A Kill in the Morning came from Robert Harris' alternate history novel, Fatherland, and my love of classic spy fiction.

A Kill in the Morning was shortlisted for the Terry Pratchett First Novel Award, has been bought by Transworld publishers and is going to be published in 2014. To find out more, and read my spy-themed short stories and book and movie reviews, visit graemeshimmin.com.
