What should be in a cover letter for short story submission to a magazine? Note that some markets (particularly short fiction) explicitly request in their submission guidelines that you not describe the story. |

When editing for a person, how much can be changed? @thursdaysgeek: Sorry, I think I misread that point in your question. As far as the editors vs reviewer thing goes, if I'm asked to "review" something, in my experience I'm generally expected to be editing the document for its accuracy, appropriateness and potentially its structure, in addition to typos/grammar. |

How do you track submissions to publishers/markets? I had no idea Duotrope had a tracker. I'll have to check it out. Thanks. |

How do you track submissions to publishers/markets? @neilfein: Yeah, I was thinking that when I asked it, but there are so many other questions like this already on Writers.SE that aren't CW... |

How do you track submissions to publishers/markets? I don't see why not, though I was thinking more along the lines of short stories/articles, which are less likely to be agented and you'd probably have many more of them than book-length works. |

Do Writers Use LaTex/TeX for writing? @Marcel: Thanks for the summary. It doesn't sound too bad when put like that. |

Do Writers Use LaTex/TeX for writing? does the Vim add-on take away some of the pain of entering the markup tags themselves? I looked at some TeX/LaTeX markup and it looked worse than XML, wrt having to type it all in |

Do Writers Use LaTex/TeX for writing? +1 for version control. I see this as one of the biggest advantages of markup-style formats |
