Attributives in dialogue I don't think this was the question, and it already assumes that the use of "he said" and "she said" are okay, the OP is asking if considering them the standard, is "she asked" or "he asked" appropriate? |

How do you avoid purple prose? It's more polite to write a comment that seems to make someone look stupid? I would've just edited (though I can't yet). Jae is obviously "sure" of what it should've been. |

What are the benefits of being a slush reader? Chicago Radio Theater does this. Years ago, Paramount Pictures did this when they accepted spec scripts for Star Trek from non-agented, non-union writers (WGA writers aren't allowed to be asked to work on or work on spec). I've submitted to a couple places where I've seen those kinds of clauses in the online terms. Tor, was maybe one? I can't remember. |
