Tips for describing features of unusual place that I often visit Another tip: Use all your senses. Not just visuals, but also smells, sounds, a taste in the air, a chill on the skin, etc. You already do this to some extent ("unusually quiet", "sound of second can"). Descriptions need not be all visual. |

APA Formatting - Changing Adjectives in a quote I agree. Keep the quote as it is. Inside the quotes, you're in a separate world where "our" already means "their". |

What methods can I use to revise my writing? @David No I haven't used this method, which is why I'd be interested in hearing how it goes ;-) However, we did use the colored markers idea to pull a high-level software design from an existing requirements document once. It went pretty well given the context (tight deadline, management in panic mode, etc). |
