Is the ambiguity in my story the salt which makes it tasty or just plain frustrating? Once upon a time, there were 7 dwarfs and a snow white. Could somebody please give me an opinion of my story? |

Adding dementia to writing I think you may not have very much experience writing for people. You must have kept all your writing to yourself. Write in the abstract style you wish in emails to your friends/family. For the next year, try to communicate with your friends/friends only thro (or as much as possible) emails. Tell them what you want thro emails. Confuse them - to provoke their critique of your abstract communication. At the end of the exercise, you'll find yourself. Perhaps, you could use facebook instead of email. BTW, I don't know anything about facebook - never used it. |

What is “head popping” and why is it bad? Hey, you are the king, the god of your story. Do what you want. Write it the way you want and get an audience to read it. Invite people to read it. Don't get stuck to old paradigms of writing if you feel you can develop an interesting one. Always compromise your principles/techniques in favour of readers' comprehension. |

Is it okay to call the reader's target audience stupid? Developers are stupid, not users. Developers are the ones with the tendency to have machined their thinking states into requiring everyone around us to believe our perspective of the world is the "truth". |

Path to publishing a technical book First draft it out on Google Sites and gauge its responses and then use Amazon publishing to publish a more complete version. BTW, do not use colloquialism like "going to" in technical writing, such as "going to go to work" or "going to going to go to work". Use "I will be", "I shall", "I should", "I will need to". |

How can I improve the effectiveness of my examples to grab the recruiters attention? I cannot help but to emphasize how important it is to set up a technical blog of your experience with each post aptly titled - with solution-oriented and experience-oriented postings concisely written. Do not name names or companies/client (except for vendors or educational inst) - try to generalize client identities and keep clients' confidentiality. And BTW - please use paragraphs. |

How to separate scenes in a chapter? This should not be an issue. A reader having to decipher whether he/she has progressed to another scene is part of the intrigue of reading a story. Don't spoil the story by being overly explicit, trying to explain every turn of events. Reserve the right for the reader to do their own leg work. Having any form of separation that is consistent is good enough hint to the reader to check if he/she has progressed to another scene. |
