My question is - what's the point? Is there a strong reason why exactly this combination of two letters is not only optically changed, but in fact represented by a different symbol? This is related to formatting, which is also why I used the tag.

Okay, but technically he was not asking to repeat the citation, he just didn't see that the citation was supposed to go for both paragraphs, so I can decide how to make that visible. But yeah, if he had said it, it'd be clear.
