I play with R mostly because I like how it allows me to deal with problems I didn't even know I had to begin with. Do I actually use R in my day-to-day work? As a writing teacher, not really....
I like r questions, particularly those involving aggregate, reshape, or regex, and recently, data.table.
More places to find me online:
- My rarely updated blog, website, and Google+ profile
- Github, mostly with my slowly growing set of utility functions
- Connexions, sometimes working on Collaborative Statistics Using R
- StackExchange network, particularly Graphic Design

Which sort of features are required for a text editor in order to improve efficiency and comfort during writing? How are you defining "efficiency" and "comfort"? I would doubt that the features "required" are required by all writers. To be honest, I almost exclusively use a plain text editor, do my formatting with markdown, then process the markdown file to whatever format (html, pdf, docx...) I need using a program called Pandoc. To me, that's efficient, but to you, that might not be. I would suggest trying to clarify your question and try to make it less subjective. |

Notes Placement By the way, if you want to write nice-looking reports with integrated margin notes, you might want to check out Lyx which, when used with the Tufte layout, gives you output like this. |
