How to write about things which depend on each other I'm fine with (...See Section X.) so long as it is before the current section, which is the real issue in the OP. Forward references always upset me, and if they are a bit too frequent, you can as well imagine the reader's frustration at the discontinuity and non-linearity. |

How to summarize prolonged plot "Strong disagree." - What exactly does that mean? Tx for the HO, but the OP is not about a "query" but a "query letter". So you can revert your down vote now. |

How to summarize prolonged plot Why would you already use so many negatives -- look at the same attributes in a positive way. 'Prolonged plot' -did you unnecessarily prolong it? If so, undo it. 'Erratic' -find a positive-sounding synonym for that. Same with 'hollow', 'rants & ravings'. Finally, try discover an underlying theme, (well, fake it, if you have to). :) |

American English: Is it acceptable sentence structure to write, “May God have compassion on your family, in whole.”? Since rhyme is your reason, it is definitely better to chose another word that gives out a clearer meaning and preferably improves on the the first part of the sentence. see:rhymezone.com/r/… |

How to express in a better way? And no, your question is not bogus. Just be a good reader first and then start trying to be a good writer. |

How to express in a better way? "It takes lot of time to read novel ...": True. And it takes even longer to learn to write well. So, start with patience and perseverance. Meanwhile, try some of the great short stories. |

How to obtain a thoughtful critique of a job application cover letter? Good question. However, bulk posting of questions may not be such a good idea. |

What did Norman Mailer mean? TJ Smith wrote: 'After six wives he also said "Alimony is the curse of the writing class."' in his blog at teejaysmith.blogspot.com/2011/05/norman-mailer.html which suggests @Lauren Ipsum could be right. |

What software can handle both revision control and layout? My impression is that someone has pasted an office memo in toto here. Can the OP rephrase this as a simple straight-forward question? |

What did Norman Mailer mean? Could we make random inferences without the support of the writer's context? Was Mailer really into an alimony case? Was he speaking about himself, for that matter? |

I suck at plots. Is there a way to sort of train oneself to think of creative plots, specifically in scifi? People don't 'think of creative plots,' they think of plots creatively, or rather, they just think, and happen to come up with great plots. In short, 'everything I think of just seems so cliche' -- this is just because you are aiming at being creative, which is the reverse of the above process. |

APA (sixth edition) citation for the Fourth Assessment Report 'Employee Benefit ...' is the kind I had meant. Thanks for clarifying 'institutional authors', which I had overlooked mentioning. |

APA (sixth edition) citation for the Fourth Assessment Report +1 Perfect, to the point answer. There seems to be no need to cite the individual authors as feared in the OP. |
