I’m an aspiring fiction writer with experience in marketing writing, scientific copyediting, technical writing, and journalism. I believe in the Harvard comma, split infinitives, and sentences ending in prepositions.
In 2010 I was a slush reader for Flash Me Magazine. My flash story “The Demon’s Tomb” appeared in volume 2 of The Crimson Pact.
Despite growing up near the science-fictional setting of Johnson Space Center, fantasy has always been my favorite genre. I now live in central Illinois.

Is there a good project management software for writers? This would be excellent. I looked for time-tracking software a while ago with no luck, but something that would make a Gantt-like chart to help figure out when I need to do each sub-step to get the book done on time would be good to have. |

How much outlining should I use in writing my book? I'm not clear on what you're trying to improve. Is your draft incoherent (lots of plot holes and inconsistencies)? Do you want to write faster? Do you want to spend less time revising after you write a draft? |

Good Outlining Solutions For OSX? Love Scrivener. Outline view makes it very easy to customize the columns so you only see what you need to. For creating website content, I've set it up to color code and show statuses so I can see at a glance what's done, what's in review, what needs to be revised, and whether the canonical version of the text is in the Scrivener file, in the wireframe, or with the html group. |

Author's notes: yay or nay? Also, you can easily link to other sources (e.g., for background reading in historicals or science fiction). |
