comment Best e-book formatting process?
This sounds like a very interesting process, and I can see how it would work. However, I feel that it introduces more work rather than saves work, which is ultimately what I was hoping for.

comment What book review sites allow authors to send a copy of their books for reviews?
Great question, but my goal wasn't to generate sales. I'm not doing much to promote either of these books right now, mainly because I've been concentrating on promoting a series of books published under a pen name. My main goal was to get the reviews out there in advance so that when I do start promoting I will have some reader feedback available for potential buyers. On my first book, however, I saw a very consistent complaint about the opening, so I am in the process of rewriting it based on that feedback.

comment How could my friend publish his Steve Jobs biography?
That is indeed a serious risk. There have been plenty of unauthorized biographies that have been published, but the key is making sure you've verified all your sources. If it's a flattering approach, then Jobs may let it slide. However, if it takes a negative slant, then be prepared for battle!
