This isn't really related to your question, just a pet peeve. The word tense has an extremely specific meaning, which has nothing to do with person. “Past”, “present”, and “future” are examples of tense; “2nd person” is not.

I second @Erik's suggestion. From what I've heard, even if you are a good writer, it's really hard to get published. If you are bad at grammar, you're going to come off as a bad writer (no matter how good your ideas are). So, I'd definitely try to get published in your native language first.
