Overuse of bullet points • I'm sure your collaborator does this so it is easier to read. - It highlights the important sentences. - They are all important sentences. • I can see why you feel this practice has the opposite effect. - It's hard for me to write it. - I keep getting confused which bullet to use. |

What is the correct word/term that needs to be before the names of the maker of the project? We discussed it over on Writers, and agreed to migrate it, although they will need some more information before they can give you good answers. |

1st person story, but the main character will die in the end and some of the story needs to be told after his death. How to solve this problem? @Lauren You could just read my story about it after I'm done writing it. ;-) |

How can I improve my analytical writing for a standardized test? The GRE is for native speakers as well as non-native speakers. Most graduate programs require it for everyone. |

Should I punctuate abbreviations for Old English, Middle English etc. in academic writing? Since this is a style question, I think it is more appropriate on Writers.SE. |

Do script readers start at the beginning? I don't see how this says anything that my answer didn't. This one just uses more words to say the same thing. |

Is it true that men (in general) can't write female first-person? @SF. You're joking, right? What about the Rama series by Clarke, or the Gap sequence by Donaldson? Both have strong female protagonists who could theoretically have been male instead. I think your assertion is baseless. |

Stick to in-text citation or use a mixture of both parenthetical and in-text? I think this question might get better answers on Writers.SE. I have asked the mods there if it is a good fit for their site. If they consent, we'll migrate it for you. |

Is there a technique to help me write this character's notebook entries? Yes, this is good advice. I hadn't thought about how the sentence structures would impact the perception of the passages. Consciously breaking my regular structures seems to be key to breaking out of my narrative voice. Thank you. |

Is there a technique to help me write this character's notebook entries? That oft-misquoted expression is actually "The proof of the pudding is in the eating (or tasting)" which makes much more sense. You don't know if it is good until you try it. |

How can I search for words by meaning/definition? I use OneLook Reverse Dictionary, so I won't post that answer again, but I think the word you want is "cull" or "glean." |

Will this opening and dialogue grab the reader's attention? And how can I improve it? For "Any drink you want": I'd offer that "What'll you have?" is more colloquial, and sounds like something an experienced bartender would say. |

Best e-book formatting process? I do all my composition with MiKTeX. I like the output options. I usually just make pdfs, but the community is working toward an eBook oriented output format. |
