comment How much outlining should I use in writing my book?
'This or that' questions generally do not fit in a Stack Exchange format all that well. Asking about the pros and cons of each with relation to productivity might be a better question, if you edit this one. If you want this answered for you, think about what an answer needs to contain to be helpful and write a question to get that answer.

Agreed with @John Smithers. Shawn, critique questions are to critique existing writing. Please see our guidelines and edit appropriately or this will be closed. Thanks!

comment Is this blog post clear and coherent?
if you want a critique of the technical concepts, then you will need to go over to Answers.OnStartups for start-up expertise and Mathematics for the game theory. Subject matter expertise questions are not on topic. I've edited your question to remove that request and to clarify your question.

Sharing results here is a great idea. It is totally acceptable to answer your own question if you come to a conclusion after asking it - helps us all learn.

We take critiques here that meet these guidelines. Please ask a critique question like that!

comment Story for children without a happy ending
they don't but it's sort of such an obviously delightful play on the usual happy endings that it is far less intense than say a traditional fairy tale before Disney got hold of them.

comment Resources for character development
@Steven - Proust's questionnaire especially gets at what I was getting at, that the big things for writers to focus on with characters are the "whys" behind the "whats," not just the "whats."

comment Is discovery or outline writing connected to personality type (e.g. MBTI)
when providing links please summarize their relative content, in case some day the link itself goes dead. That way all information on your answer won't be lost.

@LordZardeck - yes, you can post critique questions here if and only if they meet the guidelines.

comment What is the new Google Author markup?
This is on-topic here. Jeff thinks, at least, that cross-site duplication is OK where topics overlap. That, and the second part of the question, while it needs to be tightened up, is more than Google alone is likely to provide quickly.

comment Is it acceptable for a book to not have a dominant lead character?
Then We Came to the End is a great book written in first person plural that follows the co-workers in an office, managing to focus in on a variety of them in turn without any single one being a lead.

Related on SuperUser (where you might get more experts than here on Writers), What software can I use to read PNG metadata?

comment How can I manage screen shots and other graphics for maintenance?
I'm going to disagree with @Steven that this is a fit at Graphic Design. It's a meta-data issue, and it meets our criteria for software use questions.

Just a reminder that while you may get some interesting answers, we are not lawyers here.

comment Phrase suggestion on Xiosis Scribe 2011
Writers community - does this question fall foul of our policy that word processing questions belong on SU, or is Scribe like Scrivener - a special exception because it is focused on Writers? It lists itself on its website as word processing software, but lists Scrivener in its comparison chart.

comment A letter of recommendation
@Zasz - can you edit this with sources you've seen and what you think are wrong with them, so we have a more narrow scope for the question? The other option is to ask for a critique of your letter here, as focused critiques are on topic at Writers.

English.SE is absolutely the right place. Word choice is explicitly on-topic there.
