comment Best Tool to Create User Guides
Oh yes, you definitely need a table of contents or it just turns into a digital junk drawer. :-)

comment How to sift through all those illustrators?
@CLockeWork not necessarily. If I were trying to hire, say, an electrician to do work on my house, I might be pointed to the (making this up) National Electricians' Referral Service that tells me about customer reviews, who's passed which certification exams, etc. A question about that (on another site of course, not here) wouldn't be a recommendation question if intended to elicit that kind of response. We don't do specific referrals, but "how to search" seems reasonable to me.

@what it's possible that there are reliable recommendation/rating services, or professional associations with guidelines, or something like that.

put question in the title, removed greeting/thank-you/image from body as they don't add to the post

Hi and welcome to Writers. Critique questions here need to have specific questions; more information can be found in our critique guidelines. I'm placing this on hold for now, but please feel free to edit this and we'll consider reopening.

comment How can I write better code-based reference documentation for programming interfaces?
Thanks for calling out types (like List) that by themselves don't convey all the necessary information. This used to be a problem in Java too (great, it returns a Collection... of what?) before generics entered the language. But even specifying the type of the members of an array/list/collection/etc isn't necessarily sufficient.

Where did you read the essay? Any reason not to cite that source, whatever it is, as your source?

comment 3 short stories that can be turned into a novel. Should I pick the one with best reviews?
If you had no external feedback on any of them, which would you choose? That is, are you particularly passionate about one of them, or is your interest about equal for all of them?

comment How can I (as a new author) publish a collection of essays?
Hello and welcome to Writers. I've made some changes to your question to focus it more on the problem you're trying to solve and less on the discussion-forum aspect. I also added a link to the question you referred to; can you edit to explain what you're looking for that's not addressed there? Are you specifically interested in publishing a collection (as a book or e-book), or would blogging or serialized publishing (like in magazines) meet your need? Please edit to clarify. Thanks.

revised How can I (as a new author) publish a collection of essays?
fixed some formatting and focused the question more; discussion-forum "has anybody done this?" questions aren't a good fit, and it's better to focus on your actual problem
