I am Czech, so I write mostly in Czech, not in English. However, I have two blogs in English - one programming-relating (in progress, soon to be released into the wild), the other one just about anything: games, books, opinions...

How can a Russian writer get his work translated into English? I could, but it's way too specific (and requires considerable effort). Let's keep this question general: "How can a foreign writer approach English market". |

Can a book be written without an antagonist? The "other side" in an inner conflict is basically an antagonist. |

Is it a bad idea to turn a short story into a full-length novel? Isaac Asimov wrote the original short story, but it was Robert Silverberg who adapted Nightfall into the novel. |

Do You Use Any Version Controlling Software/Methods As Writers? MS Word does support versioning, but it has kinda clunky UI and all versions are saved right into the single .doc file - so your short story can have the size of megabytes. |

Will my readers feel like they are reading a children's storybook if there are illustrations in my novel? I read it long time ago, but weren't illustrations in Jurrasic Park in fact graphical representations of chaos-theory mathematical model? |

Very Dark Fantasy +1 for the mention of G.R.R. Martin. Lannister twins are the best evil (or rather "evil") characters ever. |
