A letter of recommendation @Zasz, a better starting point may be to draft such a letter and ask for feedback, specifically addressing areas you feel are not satisfactory. |

What are jobs that prefer or require MFAs in Creative Writing? That makes sense. I know the huge pile of submissions most journals get, and if they scan for MFA in the cover letter, they can avoid reviewing the others as closely. A shame, though. |

What are jobs that prefer or require MFAs in Creative Writing? justkt - I haven't noticed a difference pre or post. (And it's almost like the opposite of a job, ends up costing you money and time since most literary magazines pay nothing.) |

What can I write to improve reader participation at this blog? I think this question needs to be rewritten to focus only on the writing in the blog. But I think that addressing the writing is only a small part of the solution you need. |

How do you develop a strong female character? Seriously, this is vague. There's strong in the sense of loud and opinionated. There's strong in the sense of quiet but unyielding. |

Breaking Into Technical Writing - Where to Start (from a programming background) It sounds to me as though you're more slanted towards freelance tech journalism than tech writing. I consider them quite different fields, and the path in will not be the same. |

No English degree, what are my chances on successfully publishing a novel? Can you clarify? What are your chances to do what exactly? What do want to write? |

Is the iPad a convenient medium for writing work? I'll second the endorsement for the Zaggmate keyboard/case. The keyboard is a little small, but you can get used to it and be fantastically productive. |
