Writers Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for authors, editors, reviewers, professional writers, and aspiring writers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm asking this question for my wife who hates programming job(Anything which is technical). She has been in the software industry since 2.6 years, but now she is going through a very tough time. She does meet all the requirements for her job but lacks interest in it, which may very soon affect her job also. As per my understanding she is a very good writer, i must say creative writer. So i was wondering is there anything which can be more creative.

She has very good grades from her school days till engineering. Especially she was very good at English language (Essay writing, story writing, creative writing etc), in all 4 years she was the best in the college for all kind of writing competitions. So I was wondering if there is a way to combine all these, and actually make a living out of it. I really mean it when i say a living out of it. :( Ours was a love marriage and we are having hard time to make up everything well and good.

Can anyone think of a position or a role for her?

All answers will be very much appreciated even though someone thinks his/her may be useless. Just shoot whatever comes to your mind.

Thanks in Advance :)

Welcome to Writers. I'm sorry to day that your question is not a good fit to our Q&A format; a more general, conversational question like this is better suited to a web forum than a Stack Exchange Q&A site like this. You may want to review our FAQ if you haven't already. – Neil Fein May 24 '12 at 18:13

@NeilFein I'm so disappointed with your response. This should not be your reaction to the one who asks help.:( What did i miss in my question? I've read you FAQ very well. I've been using stack exchange for sometime now, and i never had an experience like this. :( – false9striker May 25 '12 at 2:30
@Aerovistae I don't think so :( – false9striker May 25 '12 at 2:30
while not an answer to the original question... but I think Neil tries to say that a brainstorming question is hard to answer adequately. (Also he may or may not have filed your question under the terms "looking for an agent/etc." of the faq.) You could discuss on how to improve this question at meta.writers.stackexchange.com . (In general and in my experience, most SE sites have some evolving ideas hidden in meta.* sites about what is on- and off-topic for them.) Also, it helps if you can word your question to be helpful for "a greater audience" (ie. other people), too. – naxa Oct 22 '12 at 23:47
