I am researching for a book and need a convincing description of how to combine the properties of citrine and lapis lazuli. Is it possible? What would the finished product look like? What kind of power would it take to do it?

Many thanks in anticipation Jackie

Hi Jackie, welcome to the site! I'm afraid this isn't a good address for research questions - you can see why on our meta post on specialist knowledge areas. Wishing you well in your work, and you're welcome to raise more questions as they come up! – Standback Aug 21 '11 at 16:03

You might want to check out the Story Research section over at Absolute Write ( absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=66"). I'm regularly amazed by the expertise on display over there. If you're not a member there, you could try the Little Details Community on LiveJournal (little-details.livejournal.com). They're a little snippier than the AW folks, but they have great information. – Kate Sherwood Aug 21 '11 at 16:14

Perhaps you could follow the Geology proposal on Area 51 and ask this there if the proposal gets into beta. – Neil Fein Aug 24 '11 at 4:09
